  • Analysis of thermal comfort by a static approach (EPB, PHPP)
  • Analysis of thermal comfort with a dynamic approach, during an average year and during a heat wave.
  • Proposed solutions to improve thermal comfort and reduce energy demand in cooling
  • Evaluation of variants: Solar protection, free overnight cooling, etc.

In high environmental performance buildings, special attention is paid to insulation, airtightness and maximization of solar gain. The risk of overheating thus become increasingly important and requires the use of detailed surveys, considering the whole building, its surroundings and all parameters concerning occupancy, heating, cooling and ventilation.  In order to develop specific solutions for each project, an hour-by-hour approach throughout the year (dynamic) is recommended. This survey is also required for the certification of passive buildings.
